Recently I went through the dreaded ordeal of purchasing a new car. I hated to finally admit my old Dodge Caravan probably wouldn't survive another harsh winter without a lot of repairs, so I broke down and finally purchased, probably the nicest car I have ever, and would ever, own.

My silver 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander. It's loaded. It's beautiful. And to thank the person who was a kind, caring sould that sold it to me, I made a Thank You card I know he will like:

Yep, this drawing is of MY brand new toy car. After colouring in my digi image in Copics, I popped it up on foam dimensionals. A simple background of Basic Grey paper was attached to the base cardstock which was punched with Martha Stewart's lattice border punch (with the edge cut off). The black background is actually glued to the inside of the card, so that lattice pops more. The sentiment is a Stampendous Stamp.

Baby Reindeer

Reindeers have always held a special place in my heart; especially, of course, at Christmastime. Over the years I have acquired quite the collection of reindeer, and whole herds of them can be found around my home during December.

So it's not surprising that I would want to draw my very own reindeer for some Christmas cards; but instead of the usual adult deer (well, other than young Rudolph) I decided to go the cute and fuzzy route once more (like my baby fox and fuzzy bunny images) and do a Baby Reindeer. But this mischievious, floppy-eared little fella doesn't have a name yet... any suggestions?

My sample card is very simple. Black cardstock was layered under some TPC Studio "Class Act Dots" paper. The sentiment was cut out of Kelly Panacci "Seasons Greetings" paper, matted on cardstock and popped up on foam dimensionals. My image was coloured with Copics and a wire with tiny Christmas lights attached was strung through his mouth. Other ideas to embellish him would be to add a wreath around his neck, some ornaments at his hooves, or perhaps a sparkly collar - I purposely left it unadorned so you can decorate it any way you wish.

This was a request by a member over at the Crafters Digital Art Center.... it seems her son loves his iPhone, and she was looking for an image for a card for him.

What timing the request was; I am just awaiting the delivery of my very own iPad that I got free when I purchased my new car! I can't wait to start playing! However, I still love my Blackberry, so I probably won't be getting this little gadget anytime soon. I guess the image will have to do for now!

Here's the card I finally made with this image; it would make a nice Going Away card, I think!

Here is an image that was another request; well, actually TWO requests. I had one person ask for a boy's toy... it's easy to find cuddly bears and girls' toys, but harder to find playthings for little boys. Then another request came in specifically for two yo-yos with their strings intertwined. So hopefully this drawing fits both needs.
