Back in the Spring I found a fabulous purple daisy plant at my local plant nursery. Of course once I brought it home I took oodles of photos; it was so beautiful!

Re-discovering those photos in my images folder recently, I knew I just had to draw some to make a digistamp. Here's a simple Thank You card using this image:

This was a quick drawing for my daughter I did last night. She needed a birthday card today for a girlfriend; she and a bunch of her friends bought her a set of martini glasses, shaker and other drinking/party paraphrenalia. Since she was wrapping the present with a lime-decorated ribbon, I made the citrus on the drink a lime, but it certainly could be coloured yellow for a lemon. The drink can also be a whole range of colours too from blue to green to well, whatever beverage you want!

The card was kept simple; the background paper is a page from my DCWV Glitter Stack. The image is cut out and popped up on foam dimensionals for added punch. One of the funnest parts of making the card was the application of Frosted Lace Stickles to the glass for a "sugared rim" effect! If your cocktail calls for a salted rim, you could switch to clear chunky-style glitter! Highlights on the metallic shaker were also added with white acrylic paint.

Here's a drawing I made from a photo I took last year of our apple-crab tree... what a nice reminder of Spring; the whole tree filled with these delicate, white flowers!

I thought the image would make a good Thank You, Thinking of You, or Condolences card. The one I created below doesn't have a sentiment yet; I can do that once I decide who to give it to!
